I really wanted to love this but although the author has a lovely writing voice and the heroine is likeable the plotting was weak and for me, the ending failed When Hazel Dobson takes a temporary job with Jonathan Gough s architectural firm she s happy to be returning to Norfolk and getting away from a troublesome boss She doesn t expect to be instantly attracted to Jonathan, a widower with 2 small sons Their path to happiness is marred by trouble at the manor house and they must overcome the knowledge that someone is setting out to destroy their hopes of a future together I enjoyed this story very much with characters to care about and a beautiful setting. Blueprint For Love Or Blueprint For Danger Hazel Dobson Is Pleased When She Gets Temp Work At Gough Associates An Architectural Company Based In A Beautiful Manor House In Norfolk Whilst It S A Far Cry From The Bright Lights Of London, Hazel Is Keen To Get Away From A Mundane Job With A Lecherous Boss, And To Spend Some Time With Great Aunt Rose, Her Only Surviving Relative Jonathan Gough Is The Owner Of Gough Associates And Despite His Wealth And Good Looks, He Has A Tragic Past To Equal Hazel S, Having Been Left With The Responsibility Of Two Young Sons There S A Real Chance That Within Each Other, The Pair Could Find The Family They Crave But There Is Something Strange Going On At Combury Manor And Some People Just Don T Want Hazel And Jonathan To Be Happy Hazel moves from the hustle and bustle of London to the remote countryside of Norfolk, East Anglia Not a move many young women would make but she has two reasons for her choice of location A new position at Gough Associates and to be nearer to her Great Aunt Rose, who is in a nursing home Leading male role is played by the mysterious Jonathan Gough, owner of Gough Associates and it s magnificent offices He is a complicated character but Hazel discovers muchto him as she settles into her new role within the company and his personal life, too.A love story and mystery set against the backdrop of a beautiful manor house in a rural setting that I really enjoyed Just the right length to keep the reader s interest and wrap up the mystery. It s only a little book, but it felt like a full novel Hazel is sweet and perhaps a little too trusting Jonathan Gough is a great hero with just the right mixture of mysterious and caring I really enjoyed reading this book. This was the perfect story for a rainy day when you just want to curl up and get lost in a good book The imagery of a dull rainy day in Norfolk was perfectly done and there was just the right mix of intrigue, romance and humour to make this a great book to pass the day with I love Henriette Gyland s ability to create intriguing and suspenseful plotlines and Blueprint for Love was just another example of that 5 Stars Enjoyed reading this The story nips along nicely with a great blend of romance and intrigue A lovely heroine and an extremely nice hero.Perfect length story to keep you entertained on those boring holiday flights or simply chilling out on the beach with. A very enjoyable read with mystery and intrigue loved it x Cute, simple and not that long. This was a cute and nice read It took no time to finish and you didn t have to think too much, it was sweet and made me feel perfectly relaxed while reading. This novella is obviously about love and how the sparks can immediately fly between two people and how hard it is to resist Hazel Dobson finds herself travelling to a new job in Norfolk in the pouring rain because no one picked her up at the train station and there are no taxis available She is nearly knocked down by her new boss, of the architect firm Gough Associates, Jonathan Gough Immediately there is a frizz between the characters but neither of them acts on it She finds herself living in the large Combury Manor along with Jonathan, the housekeeper and Jonathan s dad There is strange goings on there that keep her awake at night Also one of the company partner Tabitha is not being easy to get along with and is making unnecessary demands of Hazel.I enjoyed the little twists and turns in this book and also how Hazel is so easy to get along with and tries her hardest with everyone Only a few very determined people do not to like her and make things quite difficult for Hazel along the way You find yourself constantly wanting what is best for Hazel and obviously you are aware of what some of the characters are trying to do as the onlooker and want to warn her to open her eyes I liked the interaction of Kirsty and Jonathans identical twin boys Seth and Ben and you can immediately sense that the boys enjoy having someone whose attention is focused on them and is fun as well Maybe this will help bring her closer to Jonathan The novella is a nice easy read that I completed in one sitting This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely look out forby her.
